The Circuit Court accepts payments in the form of cash, credit/debit card, check, or money order made payable to the "Clerk of Circuit Court." You are welcome to pay in office during working hours, through the mail, or online. We DO NOT accept payments over the phone. If you choose to send payment through the mail, please make it clear which case/defendant should be credited with payment. More information is better than less, reference a case number or name and date of birth. If you wish to receive a receipt for your payment by mail, it is your responsibility to provide a self-addressed stamped envelope. Payments can be sent to: King George Circuit Court, 9483 Kings Highway, Suite 3, King George, Virginia 22485.
*Please note that you are subject to a 3% convenience fee when paying with a credit/debit card.*
We strongly recommend that you retain an attorney for representation in your case. The employees in this office cannot assist you or provide legal advice. You can find one through the Virginia State Bar or contact the Virginia Lawyer Referral Service at 804-775-0808 or 800-552-7977. If you cannot afford an attorney, please speak with the court about requesting that one be appointed. If you were appointed a Public Defender, you can reach their office at 540-899-4814.
