We appreciate all the hard work teachers do for

We want to team up with King George teachers

to provide more of the resources needed.

At L. E. Smoot Memorial Library, we have:

  • Interlibrary loans from thousands of libraries across the country that provide a wide range of materials.

  • Book collections that may be reserved for student use by completing an "Assignment Alert" form that is available in each school's office or from the link on this page to submit it by e-mail.

  • Dozens of monthly and weekly magazines, as well as six newspapers.

  • Extended lending periods to accommodate your schedule.

  • FREE library cards for teachers, even those living outside the county.

  • Current AR and RC lists for students to refer to when selecting books.

  • Reference collections for both King George and Virginia history.
