(Public Access Catalog System)

Our PAC is now on the Internet.  Just click on the Public Access Catalog button below or the one on our home page to access the catalog. Anyone may search the PAC.

Account Access: This is only possible if you are a registered patron of the library (have your card handy, you will need the number) and a (4-7 number or letter) PIN that you must obtain in person from the library before submitting a request. With both you can then click on Patron Review button on the PAC page where you can:

Placing Holds: "Note: You must be a registered patron of the library and obtain a PIN number, in person, before submitting a request."

Find the item you want and click on the blue underlined title and author it to bring up it's record.  Click on the Hold Request button on the upper right of screen.   Enter your library card number as your Patron I.D. number and your PIN number.  Click on the Submit Request button.

If placing holds on several items and to saving typing, after putting in your library card number double click anywhere in the number to highlight it, press down and hold the Ctrl key and press the C key once. This copies the number to clip board.  When you place a hold on a second item all you do is click inside the number box and press down the Ctrl key and press the V key once.  This pastes the number you copied earlier into the box. You then just type in your pin number and click on Submit Request.

The staff will also gladly place a hold on a book in person or via the phone for you.

The PAC has excellent Help instructions for use on the screen by clicking on the Help button from home or at the library.  If you are at the library anyone at the front desk will be happy to show you how to use them.

Our database continuously updates the  PAC machines. When you bring up a  record in the catalog it will tell you if the item is available and if not when it is due for return.  This can save checking the stacks for books that are not there.
