Information Technology

The mission of the Information Technology (IT) Division of King George County is to provide hardware and software information systems and technologies that enable County departments to accomplish their respective missions. The Information Technology Division supports such by providing information technology services in a quality, cost-effective and timely manner.

Support Services

The Information Technology Division provides information technology support services to county departments and constitutional offices in the following areas:

  • Design and implement new enterprise client, cloud/server and personal computer application systems
  • Maintain existing application systems and research/suggest future upgrades across all platforms
  • Ensure the County-wide cybersecurity measures are met with the strongest protocols possible for County users, third-party providers and our citizens
  • Support for County users voice and data telecommunications
  • Customer training for application systems and office automation
  • Provide strategic planning for the use of information technology as it applies to County business
  • Develop a skilled staff that can respond and support our County users and their business needs
  • Ensure the reliable backup of County data is prioritized and met every day
  • Aid County departments in the quest for full government transparency for our citizens
